Vivo X5 Max: Officially The World’s Slimmest Smartphone

Yet another Chinese manufacturer comes out with a gem of a smartphone dubbed as the Vivo X5 Max. The ultra-thin smartphone measures 3.98 mm at its thinnest point and 4.75 mm at its fattest end. Without any uncertainty, X5 Max is hands down the world’s thinnest smartphone. Falling just short of the X5 were the Gionee Elife and the recently launched Oppo R5, which is just 0.10 mm thicker.

Vivo shaved all corners of the smartphone to its perfection to achieve the objective. Amazingly, they have created the motherboard, which is only 1.7 mm thick, which works remarkably on screen size at 1.36 mm. They have also achieved another milestone with also the world’s thinnest speaker box at 2.45 mm. The crafted internal specs get better and better, the X5 Max is equipped with a dual sim slot and 3.5 mm headphone jack, making it a well-constituted dynamite gadget.


The Vivo X5 Max is outfitted with a display of 5.5 inches at 1080 Pixels, a Super Amoled screen and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 1.7 GHz Octa-core processor, combined with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of memory. Also a 13MP back camera and a 5 MP front snapper for those photo lovers. It also harnesses a Yamaha YSS-205X chip which allos Hi-Fi 2.0, it can pump out some awesome sound. The Vivo X5 Max also runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat covered with Funtouch OS 2.0.
